養身班 TAI CHI FOR HEALTH (BASIC LEVEL)

These classes are suitable for complete beginners and will include a brief introduction to the Shen Long school of Traditional Tai Chi and how it may differ from other schools. Emphasis will be on correct posture, breathing, balance and, most importantly, relaxation. Students will learn basic Tai Chi exercises and study the first section of the Tai Chi 37 Forms (Forms 1-13). They will also learn some special Qigong (Chikung) exercises to develop internal energy that is an essential part of Traditional Tai Chi.

進階班 ADVANCED TAI CHI FORMS (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)

These classes are for students who have completed the Tai Chi for Health course and will begin the forms of the second section (Forms 14-37), which progressively increase in difficulty.  Additional exercises will be learnt and there will be more emphasis on movement and internal energy development and circulation.

精修班 DEVELOPING TAI CHI SKILLS (ADVANCED LEVEL)

These classes are for students who have completed the Traditional  Tai Chi 37 Forms.  Apart from continued form correction, students will be introduced to basic sensitivity training, pushing hands and the concept of Fa Jin and uprooting.  They will learn basic exercises to prepare them for training in pairs. This will be followed by Pushing Hands training as a solo exercise and with a partner. This includes single hand and double hand Pushing Hands. Advanced students will also be able to practice the 37 Forms fluidly. As students progress they will continue to study the theories and applications of Tai Chi.

NOTE: progressing to the next level will depend on satisfactory completion at the previous level.
