These classes have been designed to suit the elderly, persons who are perhaps recovering from illness, injury or even surgery as well as those who wish to learn at a slower pace, whatever the age. Emphasis will be on correct posture, breathing, balance and relaxation. Students will learn basic Tai Chi exercises and only study the first part, or about a third, of the Tai Chi 37 Forms. The course is also suitable as a foundation course before moving on to regular classes. It is run on a drop-in basis to allow flexibility of attendance, payment made on the day.
No previous experience is required for this course but students should first seek advice from a doctor if they have gone through surgery or have any serious medical condition.
